Crazy day!

Today is another crazy day. Lets see, I got 3 hours of sleep - oh joy! Up at 6am, my gf dropped of her muchkins with me for the day while she did some training for her new job! We have been wanting them to come for weeks so the boys were SO excited! Then at 10am I had a session then by the time session was all wrapped up it was lunch time and then me and Rach wanted to get some pics befoe her mom got back to get them! They just left - I'm gonna go sneak in a teeny nap and then its dinner and off to church, and the store and then back home to proof!! AHHHHHHHHHH! haha - it was a GREAT day though so no complaints here, just a busy day - as usual!

La-La Land.

Ever just have days you feel like out in left field - lost in your thoughts, la-la land?! Thats me today. I have had a lovely day thus far, just too much on my mind and lots of work to do, so its like I'm here, but not really! ...I need a sister day - that's what I need. I'm missing my sister, and we keep texting each other, but sometimes thats just not enough. We are both freakishly busy people and so schedules are hard to mesh. One of the great things about her is that she understands my lack of time and I understand her lack of time, and well we just work around it and dont get upset about it. It's a mutual respect and love - and yet another reason why we get along so perfectly. We *get* each other without even having to talk. ....Oh, how I love those people in your life who you can cherish that way and never ever have to doubt their intentions or love for you. So, just missing my sis today and sending out some sis love. Not to mention when I looked at these shots of my baby boy I saw nothing but my sister in him and it tears me up - i love it! I'm not one to cry unless my world is crashing, however I get all sappy and weepy when I think of my sister. --- Love you, sis.

Helper.

Im cheating because I forgot to take a random pic today! I thought this was cute so I thought I would post it, its an out-take from a session! The daddy of this sweet baby was such a GREAT helper today and we kept aiming the little space heater at her to keep her warm and happy - well for this basket it it was harder becuase she was higher than the heat! Her daddy, being the sweetie that he was held it up for me and aimed it at her while I got the shots I needed - he was sitting near her by my camera-right backlight as you can see! Just thought I would use this for today and show his 'willingness to help' - made for some CUTE shots!!!

I got nothin'! I "forgot" my camera - on purpose, haha!! Today was busy-busy-busy as it always is on Sunday's so I just didn't take Big Daddy - Thats what I named my newest camera in case you were wondering! He needed a name, he's my friend! - ANYWAY he stayed home to get some much needed rest! ...Now if only I could get some rest??? *wink*

Stepkids!

Quick, quick, quick post! Stepkids are here busy day!! They are HUGE - I think they turned like 19 over night ;) We had 10 minutes each before we had to leave today I wish I had more :( I'm sad!!! Okay - gotta go for now, have a goooooood weekend!

Rainy Day.

It's a gloomy rainy day! I have gotten SO much accomplished yesterday and today because of this crazy weather so wahooo!!! I even got in my walk this morning too, yeehaw!! ...now, if I could just freeze time for about a week and sleep - that would be nice! HAHA!!!

Pink & Brown.

My signature colors - hehehe!! When you have a 'well-known obsession' it really is a very nice thing!!! I loooooooooooooooove pink and brown, LOVE it! I love when people say ' I saw this today Shellie and I thought of you!" and it's always *my* colors! That makes me so happy! I get all kinds of wonderful goodies from family, friends, clients - everyone gets me pretty things!!! The suitcase and bag below are from my mom for my b-day, I LOVE it! Now Jeremy gets my boring black luggage and I get this, HURRAY!! Then to add to my pink and brown themed post I thought I would take a pic of a couple other gifts I have gotten in my theme! One is from an old friend from highschool (Nicki by old I do not mean OLD, hahaha *wink* Had to add that considering the topic of our last emails!) - it was a surprise one day and I just LOVE IT! Then the other is from a new friend, Miss "R" - she got it for me a few months ago but I dont think I have ever taken a pic of it??? But oh I just love it!!! Poor Jeremiah thinks it's mean I put him in a 'girl frame' hehehehe - I guess I need one of me in there!! ...I hope you all have a very pink and brown day today! ;)

Beauuuuuutful.

Look, I got new pretty's!! ;) I have a wonderful friend/client who is begining her Real Estate career! ( to which she will be FABULOUS at, no doubt) Well, she needed some pro headshots for her signage and promo stuff - I refused to let her pay me because she's a rockstar and talks me up everywhere she goes and I just wanted to help her out! Well, she is as stubborn as I am and made me choose some BEAUTFUL jewelry in exchange! I love, love, loooove it!!! I got 3 necklaces and 2 pair of earrings and let me let you I can not wait to wear it!! Im so excited it's church day, I'll get to wear some today!!! hehehe!! ...Thank you sweet friend - I hope you enjoy your headshots as much as I adore this jewelry!!!

Pretty.

Sunday was just lovely outside AGAIN, another perfect day. We just strolled downtown, did some shopping, and I took lots of pics! There are textures and colors everywhere, I just love it, Makes me wanna get a bus load of people and drive them up for a whole day of amazing sessions - try me, I'll do it in a heartbeat!!!!!! The one of the boys in the van is from Saturday but I wanted to add it, haha its cute! Silly boys! - Is it time to go back to Galena yet? I'm ready!!!!!

BIRTHDAY GIFT!

My B-day gift from my hubby was a trip to Galena - my newest love! I love Galena as much as I love my cameras!!!!! ITS AWESOME!!! I love it there so very much - there could have been no better gift :) Be sure to click these so you can see them better, It was SO perfect this weekend with the 70 degree weather and the huge clouds and blue skys *sigh* I could have stayed there forever. Flip-Flops.

Ohhhhh the blessed flip-flops came out today! I have been wearing them for like 2 weeks now as a protest to the cold weather - my feet need the air, even if the weather chooses to STAY COLD! Well, I think all of my protesting has worked! Today I got to wear them in 74 degree's!!! WAHOO! I went for an awesome walk for a couple hours this monring with my walking buddies, and then came home and played catch with the boys for over an hour. It was such a perfect day weather wise. It's about time, Illinois!!!!!!!!!

From today that is! I had my camera with me ALL day and only used it for a session. So I thought I would throw this one up of Luker's. He literally didn't give me anything that day, haha - you can tell by looking! This is what he did 99% of the time! Crazy, crazy boy.

I can drive!

Okay so there was never a point where I couldn't drive, but my birthday is um, SATURDAY and so I needed to get this taken care of this week!! My week is a little bit hectic, sooooo today was the day! I didn't even have to take a written test! I thought I would have to since I haven't since I turned 16 and I'm gonna be 29 - when you do start taking tests?? I don't know! Jeremy says maybe its becuase I havent had any tickets? That's a good reward if thats the case! But maybe I was supposed to and my b-day present was that I didn't have to be tested? hhehehehe, either way I'm good and free and clear till 2012! WOOT!

WOW!

Hey, do you SEE that? Do ya?! It's my desk - apparently I have one!! hehehe - Once I started cleaning my office area today I discovered that under client folders, and my appointment book and all my other "organized chaos" I actually DO have a desk top! It's awful pretty and shiny, don't you think?!?!?!

Oh I had to run around this morning to get my stuff done, and the sky was so awesome! There were storm clouds to the East (far in the distance along the horizon of the shot) and blue skies and puffy clouds here - it was endless! You can click it to make it bigger as usual!

Reflection.

I had to get some sunglasses the other day, I got one pair for the van ONLY, and one pair I'm sure to lose, haha! Well my 2nd pair stays in the house, Ihave them on a window ledge in the kicthen and they shine!! I can see myself in them when I walk by, it makes me giggle. I tried to make a point to remember that they should be my pic since they continue to catch my eye! so there I am! The picture was boring so I tried to make it less boring with a texture I added, but its still boring to me - sorry folks, it's just what ya get today!!!

Begged and pleaded for some nice pictures of Luke today outside since its decent outside! However, he was being a stinker, I hardly got anything! I loved his little outfit though, gonna have to try again soon!

Rainy Day.

Today it's raining!! From the sound of it this is gonna be a full week of rain, except for Wednesday!! Since it was so cold and wet I didn't get to go walking with my new walking buddies, so I was sad! But I tried to get in some jogging - I wasn't alone, I have Micheal Buble to sing me down the trail! ;) - However I got about a 1/2 mile into my jog and the rain started coming down - so, I had to turn around head back to the van. Not jog, but RUN back to the van! When you are carrying your cell phone, and pretty zune, you don't want to get soaked! SOOO, I got in some excersize, but not very much at all. Tomorrow will be better! ..The picture is of an umbrella, buuuut not the kind you get wet! It's a pretty paper one, I got 2 the other day. I'm quite sure you will see pictures with them in use this summer :)

Kite flying.

So techinally this is from Saturday too but Im using it for Sundays post! (shhhh) Luke and Jeremiah got really cool kites for Easter from papaw and mamaw and soooo they got to try them out this weekend. They said "mom get your camera and come see!" so, I grabbed my camera - it still had my fisheye lens on there, sooo yeah the kite looks like a spec in all the pictures, haha!! Oh well! So you get to see just a randow shot that I thought was pretty! I love colors and the barn and the wonky wide look!

Wind.

See the windmills?! Since last summer we can see these from the house since they are just a few miles up the road. Well, a few you can walk right up too since they are right off the road. I have been meaning to take my fisheye and go grab some shots but the weather hasn't been great . Saturday the weather rocked. I went jogging (thats right!) and then I headed over with Jeremiah and we walked up to the massive things. Jeremy says he would say they are about 200 feet tall if he had to guess - I don't know, but they scare me a bit when you get THAT close. See the shadow on the ground from one blade? Freaky huge!!!

Lukers got a new hair cut last night! It looks adorable on him HOWEVER - this shot - not so good. I had my 35mm on my new camera and note to self Do NOT do that anymore, can we say 'lens distortion?!' Ack that's not good, his head looks all out of proportion. - it's okay, I'll try again later with my 85mm and all will be good :)

Bad Hair Day.

My hair would do nothing today! Nothing cute AT ALL! So I pulled it all back and guess what still looks not good! Oh well, bad hair day. I was slacking on my pic for today and took a super duper fast one! Sorry so boring, haha!! I was looking out the window to see how much it was raining and my camera was there a foot away - SO, quick snapshot to the rescue!!!

See my keys just hang there of the railing, all lonely? Yep, they have to stay there. I need to run some errands but my hubby had to take my van to work today so we are in for the evening. Maybe I'll take a nap - or do laundry? hehe! I have been proofing all day so thats probably what I will do tonight as well! Oh well at least it's productive!! ;)

It's my 'drug of choice' *wink* This week I splurged and I bought myself a 4 pack of the vanilla frapucinno's!!!! Usually I just buy one at a time, every now and again - they are TOO addicting. However since I have to spend my days proofing every spare moment Ihave this week I treated myself. Now I get one for breakfast every morning! YUM!!!
