Clouds.

I was coming home from the store tonight and the sunset was so pretty with the blanket of clouds. I ran in the house super fast to grab my camera - still had my fisheye lens on there! Such a pretty sky.

New Love.

I have a new love for my fisheye lens - and it is good, hehehe. I'm just silly. This is a boring pic but it was it is dark outside and I was just goofing around. Obviously not much light in the room, but that's okay! ...Honestly, we got busy today and I forgot to take my pic, this was where my camera was on the shelf, so I just grabbed it and snapped, haha!

Pretty.

Okay a quickie since I GOTTA start proofing!! I have like 4 sessions waiting for me and wedding images! This is a new scarf I bought on Tuesday, we went to springfield and spotted an Old Navy so we had to stop in, hey I got deals!!! I got this scarf and a chocolate brown one 50% off, HURRAY! and I got the cutest little baby hat, for yet this.... 44 cents!!! THATS RIGHT! its all cute and pink and white stripes? 44 cents, crazy huh?! I got couple other things and left the store spending 20 bucks, haha - thats the kind of deals Shellie likes! - Anywho I used my green scarf the other day to wrap a newborn and it was SO cute, so I wanted more. Now I have a pink one :)

7 days!?

Wow.

Oh my goodness, has it been that long!?!?!?! Wow, I am shameful!!! Okay here is the deal - I'm starting fresh. Today I will take a new pic after my session this am and I PROMISE I will post one!!!! I have pics from the past 7 days but holy goodness - 7 days? What was I thinking waiting this long?!

This week has been such a great week too, I have been working non-stop but I have gotten SO much work done, I'm quite happy about that! So now, I have no excuse - I will be back this afternoon with my Mar28 post, I promise- promise-promise! See you then!!!

Slacker...

Sorry guys, I'm a slacker! I have all kinds of pictures but I have been so busy that once I get a free moment I don't use it to post any pics here!!! Tomorrow (Tuesday) we are taking the boys to Springfield for a day of (educational) fun, hehehe so I wont be on again. I promise I'll get caught up here in the next couple days - I feel like I'm drowning in proofs - everywhere I look they are calling my name!! *wink*

I'm thristy today!!! I keep running to get waters - this is the only thing I could think of, haha! Not so thrilling, but does describe my day ;)

*giggle*

Hey that's me! I was proofing this morning and I caught this picture, obviously I didnt take it! My oh-so-cute hubby did!! It makes me giggle for a couple reasons 1) because I had made mention that I had no shots of me "at work" so just seeing this made me think to myself "OH how cute, he listened during one of my mindless ramblings about work and tried to help me!!!" *giggle* and then at the fact that my adorable husband simply does not think as a photographer - like not even a little, hehehe!! Look, my fisheye was on the camera he used and can you see the people I'm shooting at the time??? Um no! HAHA! That makes me giggle even more, the shot would be much more meaningful had you seen the "subjects" as well!!! BUT BUT BUT, look, he tried!! How cute is that?!?!?! ...I had to post it for today because I have a sink full of dishes awaiting me and need to tend to them, and I just needed a giggle moment. :) I sure do love that crazy husband of mine - he's a keeper.

I bet you thought I forgot my pic! I almost did, haha. This pic is from inside my frig! I was telling my gf Diane about this Iced Coffee mix stuff thats SO yum, and then I realized I didnt take my pics yet today! She said take a pic of that stuff for me! ...so I did! ..if you haven't tried it, its yum-o.

Music Anyone?

One more Galena photo. Today I had to shoot pictures at a local preschool, but I dont have "permission" to share those!!! Plus I feel pretty icky. I have caught some kind of virus or cold and you combine that with a lack of sleep for the past 4 days, I think Im just beyond tired. Today I came home from the preschool and went back to bed soon to try and recover. After that we desperately needed some groceries in this house so off to the store we went! ...no more camera for me, so I grabbed this one. He was just on a hill playing away. It was COLD! I think he was a brave man! ...the local people probably thought I was a wacko because I found it "so cool" he was up there for what seemed to me no reason at all, haha!

No one around, just him. I ran up a big hill to snap a shot of him and all his hard work.

Night Lights.

Saturday I spent my whole day with a FABULOUS wedding couple and took pictures thru-out the day of them in this perfect town of Galena. At one point in the day I told the couple I felt like their own personal paparazzi, haha. Well, Sunday I didn't touch my camera! So I'm gonna share this shot from the night before! It was about 9pm or so I would say - down town was just stunning with the street lights and the signs all lite up making the town seem all that much more perfect . And then you would pass an alley and see a single sign lit up in all it's glory. I must be an old soul because the thought of this town back in its glory days makes me happy!!! I took this shot right after I had my amazing wedding couple stand under there and share a kiss! ;)

Galena.

Galena - this is where I had the pleasure of spending my weekend! There are no words to describe how much I love it there. It is literally like someone entered my mind and took all my thoughts on what the"perfect place" would be, and then laid it all out before me within a town.

Honestly - I adore it there. We are going back for my Birthday next month because it's now stolen are hearts! It just feels different there. The people, the buildings, the colors, the music in the shoppes - everything about it was just what I *love*. I always tell Jeremy "I wish there was a place for me to shoot where there is just beautful historic buildings, textures, colors, brick, stairways ... everywhere you look" Yeah well this is the place!!! It's a dream come true, I wish I could go back every weekend. I told Jeremy when we were walking around that day I wish they would just block off a section of the street right downtown and I would just sit there in the middle of the road and gawk at everything around me - I could have just stared for hours and hours.

If you have never been - GO. Please, do yourself a favor and just go.

Rushed.

Okay so today is a very busy day - I'm taking this right now before I totally forget!!! I have a huge list of things to get done today and like no time to spare so my to-Do list was the perfect pic today!!

I have a wedding this weekend in Galena - so we leave tonight and I have to get lots of work done, then pack then pack the boys, then pack equipt - um the list goes on and on!!! SO back to work on go I will see you guys MONDAY!!! Have a great weekend peeps!!!

A belt!

And you are thinking, who cares about a belt?! I DO, I DO! So I am on week 4 of this crazy fitness evilness - and this week is recovery week. Recovery week is not so easy my friends! There is more Yoga this week. Time out - I'm going on the record to say I will forever HATE yoga. It hurts and it's SLOW painful TORTURE. I don't even think that the word hate is a strong enough word to describe my feelings towards it. Literally just thinking about it makes me feel and think bad, bad things!!!!

However, there are perks! - I just had to buy a belt today becuase my pants wont stay up without it!! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! I have not missed one day and it's starting to pay off - I just feel better all over. Hurray for me!









Edited to add, I love how the angle of this image makes me appear smaller than I am! Gotta love that! HA!!!

Special Kisses.

As a mommy, I have special moments or things for each of my boys. Well since Lukers was a little-bitty, I have always kissed right under his chin - and we know that's mommy's spot! Well this morning Luke was trying to help me think of a picture and he was showing me his firetruck and the ladder and making shadow's on the floor in the sun - all kinds of cute, basically! Made me wanna give him kisses for trying to help me out!!! So, I did - and he said, hey mommy take a pic of my special kisses! SO, we held the camera out to try and got this one & only, but ended up being my fave. I love my lukey kisses! I will have to add the rest to his blog since he was such a sweetie to try and help me out today :)

Eye-Contact.

Haha...that title would have been more impressive if I had thought if it before I shot these! Okay, so I have to workout shortly, so it was contacts time & I thought since I took a shot of my glasses last week, I'll use my contacts this week! ...then I thought wait - maybe I should use my eye with the contacts IN there?! ...my thought process is a mess ;) So, I just took both and then hey, you get Eye/Contact, haha...yes, yes, I'm a goober! We all know it, so you can say it! ;)

Its a shot of Miah, and when you look closely, you can see me too! I was taking some shots of Miah (I'll post them on his blog) but it was so sunny and beautiful you got all kinds of light in his eyes...and with light you get fancy eyes,...you can see me and my camera in the "reflection" in those big beautiful brown eyes. I love eyes, thought it would be a suiting shot :)

I'll update tomorrow when I post Monday's image - I DO have a picture for today but I'm just beat! I had to get my contest posted (please go vote! www.shelliebenson.typepad.com )and it took quite a while, so now I'm sleepy. Today was a LONG day and to top it of my hubby and youngest got the virus that's going around they were sick! ACK! ...needless to say the day did not go as planned, I had to cancel and move stuff around (thank goodness for kind and understanding people!!!!).

...anywho, its nearly midnight, I'm beat and need to get some sleep....and pray that I do not get sick from the 2 gentlemen in my house!!!!!!!

New hair :)

Okay, I can't tell too much of a difference from the front view when I'm looking in a mirror, but from the top I can! It's got red and blonde all over the place! Maybe tomorrow in the day time I can see it better!?!?!? I like it though, very fun!!!!
