Romance.

If you don't know this about me, I'm shocked, haha. I love my husbnad more than words can even express. Something about that man just makes ME who I am everyday. I just adore him! There has not been one day since we met that he hasn't made me feel like the most beautiful woman on the planet and for that alone I'm so blessed. Cheesy as it sounds he truely does "complete me". We fit, we are a team and I love being married to him!!!! That might seem odd to be posting along with this picture of a CD cover, but really it's not.

I have posted my love for Michael Buble before - different kind of love, but still! You know why I adore his music the most??? It's that music that makes me think and dream about MY hubby. Songs that when I hear them, make me cherish my husband even more because so many songs feel like it's Jeremy singing them to me, haha. I know I'm a goof ball, but it's SO true!!!! There are other reason why I love this artist as well...as a passionate person myself about my 'job', as is he and speaks freely about how much his singing career means to him. And I GET it, I feel it, I hear it in his voice in every single song he sings. THAT is a true artist. When I man can sing a romantic song and you *feel* the songs...oh yeah, that's good stuff right there.

This is just my little blurb on my deep love for my hubby, that just is intensified by a few songs by an artist who "gets it". Oh yeah, good stuff.

YEA!
So you know those days where you are so cranky you just know it's best to not talk to anyone??? lol, yeah that was me today! No real reason except the fact I'm a woman and you know how that lovely urge to kill people just come over us from time to time??? hehehhe! Do we enjoy these days? Um, no!! I love to be happy! Happy-happy-happy! So, those cranky days really are hard for me to say the very least! One thing on this planet that will help my cranky mood every single time is SPARK! ...Thank heavens the blessed FedEx man brought me some spark today...without it, I would still be not so chipper!
Because of this blessed product showing up at my door step that I'm SO fond of, I thought it best to take a pic of it. Isn't it pretty? Lovely, lovely energy in a container ;) Life is good again.

No pic today, guys. I'm so beat.

This week has been so crazy, I feel like I never sit down. I didnt even get to pick up my camera today, and the weather was just wonky...it went from 50deg at noon to 20 by 3pm and now its 5. Bleck!

I hope everyone had a great day! Hopefully tomorrow I will get a bit more down time to snap a picture!!

More green :)

I got a new vase, and it was 20 bucks...on clearance for 2 bucks! That's what I call a bargain!! hehe!! It's green too, my color of choice lately - Score!! ...I also got pillar candles at the same time marked down to 90 cents!! Can you even believe that?! Good times, good times.

Okay, so my to-do list for this week is SOOOOOO HUGE, I can't even tell you. If any of you are seeing this and are waiting on responses from me oh please know I'm getting to it! I have so much to get done it's a little hectic!!!! Bare with me - pretty please! :(

HELP!

I'm gonna use my pic of the day to heeeelp me!! Ya'll know my obsession with my chair? Yeah well it's my "inspiration" for my room at the moment and so I wanna choose an accent color that will help tie it into the room. But I was trying to find a paint sample that I can carry around with me for when I'm shopping to have the color I need! But it's so hard. What do YOU think? Help me! Will any of these work? Should I start over and go get more samples? ...I dont wanna have to cut a swatch off my chair OR drag the chair in the store, LOL!!

Help me, Help me, Help me! (....personally I was leaning more toward the Mossy green which is the stand alone swatch. But don't let that sway your opinion!!!)

Window Light.

The light upstairs in the mid-morning thru late afternoon is just SO awesome. Between the large window and the small window on the side wall you can get some great shots. I have decided to tinker with it today...it's all snowy outside and all the does is add to the "umph" of the amount of light so for this natural-light-photographer-at-heart, it just simply made my day! Jeremiah sat thru about 5 minutes of shots for me...I got SO many I'll have to load some to his blog. Plus I got my 85mm out because I neglect it TOO much!! Can you say 1.8? Yeah baby. Needless to say, I had some fun :)

New Wheels.

That's right, we got a new set of wheels! We got ourselves a new van, HURRAY! ...not brand new mind you...we have a *thing* about that ;) - but new to us anywho! It's so nice, and lovely, I just adore it!

Luke.


It's SO cold today, but Luke wanted to play outside, so I bundled him up and let him go out...however I was only out about 5 minutes before my fingers were freezing solid, ahaha! I cant shoot with gloves on, it's too difficult when its 20 and windy!! ...this was a rock he found to try and break up the ice thats form in the bird bath :)

So I have been meaning to post this for over a MONTH!!! I had to brag, my 7 year old took this shot, i adore it and the kid just makes me proud. He has a great eye, I keep trying to teach him some common photography tid-bits and he really catches on!! I always tell him to "explain" the pictures he takes to me, like tell me why you took this. This one he says "See the foot prints mom? I wanted to show you the sky and the barn and the footprints all together" Yeah baby...he's learnin'!! I really do love it, I'm gonna print it and hang it! ...Maybe Jeremiah needs a blog!!! *wink*

Paint, anyone?

We have needed to paint upstairs for a long time..and made plans to over a year ago, did it happen? no! So since I have been stranded at home with no car I told Jeremy I neeeeeeeed a project! ...Or I'll go mad! I have the perfect chance, no sessions from now until February so its just perfect! LOVE winter for this reason alone! Just enough time to get some stuff done around here before the madness starts again! YEA!

SO, I have been painting, I tackled one room today. It looks so much nicer already.

BORED.

Like my pretty little sign? I think it's obvious by this point, I have lost my mind. Our van, our lovely, lovely van...it's down for the count, AGAIN. I feel like a broken record! What this time you ask, my friends? Oh but the transmission, of COURSE! :( So, again I'm stuck here. The last few weeks have been nothing but car trouble here, so I am beging to feel uuummmm, Trapped? Yes, trapped in my own house. This week is the worst considering I cant even get to church on a SUNDAY. Not so fun for Shellie - more mentally than anything, I need that *boost*. If I can ask a favor, please just keep us and our vehicle "situation" in your prayers ;) We are working on the solution, and I know everything will work out, just might take a few days longer than I would hope.

Ohhhh the sun was blinding me in the kitchen this morning and my camera was there so I though "OH sun flare and burst shots!!" ...yes, i'm a geek and I soooooo wish it wasnt in my KICTHEN becuase its less that pretty right now, but hey the sun was right so I felt the need to play!

It snowed!

But just a little! It's really cold and windy today so staying outside too long wasn't much of an option when the snows a flyin'! hehe!! There was an old ear of corn outside from the field getting all snowy, so I took a pic of it really fast before I was blown away! ...teeny tiny snow flakes today...I was hoping when they said snow in the forecast we would get some bigger flakes and I would get some good shots of the boys! But, no such luck for today. More snow tomorrow, maybe I'll get lucky :)

Today was trying, again. I had to meet a client, but after I met up with her, my van decided to 'wig-out' for the 3rd time now in 2 weeks. *sigh* After being stranded at Walmart for 2 full hours, we did make it home! To which we are very grateful...me and the boys...to be stranded at a place with a bathroom, food and entertainment was a nice benefit! hehe!!! ...could have been much worse!!!

All that being said, we were happy to finally get home today. I asked Jeremiah if he would be my picture of the day and he said sure mom - with his handsome little face. He's such a great kid - if everyone had a kid like him then the world would be a happier place.

Trains, anyone?

Today I ran upstairs to get my camera to get my other images from the past 2 days to post and peaked in on Lukers. He brought this big ole container of train stuff into the livingroom and was setting up a village, haha. Thats Luke, my train fanatic!!!!

He says "MOM, look! One way!" Awe, he's so cute, he gets excited about the most simple things...I dont know where he gets that from?! hehehhehe. Anywho my camera was already in my hand, so voila, my pic for today!!!

Cleaning!

Monday, like I said my hubby took over my pc - and was cranky too boot - SO I used that opportunity to CLEAN! ...and I mean CLEAN...I was talking to Miss Amy on the phone and I recall telling her my nose could still feel the bleach hours after I scrubbed the bathroom, HA!!! Good ole bleach. Sure is purdy in there today though!

But hey I got alot done, moved all sorts of stuff around. We have a "plan" of sorts we are considering for the house...just changing things up a bit. Change is good, right? I think in this case, it will be very good...just finding the time is what will prove to be the challenge!!

One of those days...

Oh my, its just been one of those crazy, crazy days. I will get this updated tomorrow...today I had to clean, clean, clean and clean some more. Plus my lovely hubby....well, he's been less than cheerful today, HA!!! Men ;) I have my days too so I wont complain tooo much ;)

Anywho, pictures to come - just delayed, I cant get to my computer, hubby (and his 'tude) have had it occupied all the live-long day!!

Sunday we were rushing around like crazy people, I had to meet a client before church and in the mist of the rush, I totally forgot my camera!!! I was so sad, only day 13 and no camera?! Sooo, I just had to take a shot OF day 13 instead. : )

Chair.

Oh, my chair is FUN! I wish everything here at home wasn't so dead....but its January, so I will not complain (too much)! Lukers was a trooper for me today, I didnt want to forget my pic of the day, it's sunny out for a change so he said he would be my willing subject for a few quick shots! We were only outside about 5 minutes but hey, I'm happy...got my pic for today!!

3 Fold.

so okay I decided to post THIS shot today for 3 reasons!

Reason #1...yesterday I was not super cheerful, but today I am! Why? Well, God took care of everything... and also, a little in part of Mr Michael Buble'. His music just makes all my troubles go away :) ...words to not describe, hes dreamy *sigh*

Reason #2...I got this FANTASIC Christmas gift this year, this adorable little pink Zune! I'm over the moon for this thing! Music is just a bonus, holds THOUSANDS of my pictures, videos, movies..it's endless, I adore this thing! I wanted to show my love, hehe!!

Reason #3...its PINK! Today is my sisters birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESS!!!) when I think of my sister I think ofLove and all the things I love! ..PINK I love and also she is a music lover herself, so when I just see my pretty pink little cutie thing, I think of her!

Whew...see, 3 fold! Now...go run off and listen to Mr. Dreamy sing "Call me Irresponsible" and enjoy yourself :)

Lesson.

Ever try and "justify" being mad at someone who has wronged you? Yeah...its pretty easy to do sometimes. I was having a bad day, feeling pretty upset and then I wanted to find some scripture to help me "justify" my feelings....well, God had this in mind for me instead. "LOVE your enemies"...He didnt studder, or pause, or say try,,He just said LOVE them. Yep, I have some soul searching to do today...lesson learned. God wants us to pray for those who wrong us with a loving heart, not dwell in anger.

Dinner?

Well if you know me very well at all, you know one thing...I don't like to cook! Jeremiahs favorite thing is pasta and tonight I told him I would make some for dinner. He's a happy boy!

I had another shot in mind today, when the light was alot better in the house but the FedEx man played apart in my pic, and well, he got lost...again. *sigh* There is always tomorrow.

An Apple a Day.

I knew today had to be a picture - or in this case, 2 - of apples because Sunday I had a green apple at church and that's literally ALL I have been thinking about since then, haha!! I love green apples, but we had none! Monday I stopped by the store to grab a big ole bag of green apples. As Rachael Ray would say " Yum-o!"

I'm NOT cheating!!!!

In 2007 when I had a session and I forgot to take my picture fo the day I just used a session picture....Well, I am trying VERY hard not to do that this year!! BUT, I totally forgot about my pic today, so I had to sorta cheat! I was on location this was one of my "test" shots to check my lighting/settings, HA!!! ...It's a teaser too because oh BOY you should seeeee the newborn that went in in that bowl after this shot was taken! ....She was just perfect!!!

So see, didn't really cheat...there is no baby in there! Tomorrow I already know a picture I want to take so *whew*, haha

That's just me...forgetting about my pic today and the sun was going down and we were in the van at walmart in between church services! HA! I said 'oh man, I need to take a pic today!' grabbed my camera opened my mirror above my seat and there ya go...a very boring pic of the day!

Dweebs.

Today is lazy day! Lets see we took naps, and were total BUMS! haha!! We have been trapped home for a large part of the week awaiting a van part...and now today, its fixed! You would think that we would say Hurray! and get out of the house!??!?! Nope! We are bums! ....the nap was oh-so-nice, I'm not gonna lie!

So the boys are now totally WIRED! They are being dweebs, hahaha...I grabbed my camera which still has my fisheye on there and took a few snaps of them hyper as can be! Pretty much sums up my day...watching them be crazy people!!

Well I bought some 'expired film' actions to try out. I'm so picky, they weren't what I had in mind after I bought them...but hey, maybe one day they will come in handy? Only time will tell. I used a couple today just so my money isn't totally wasted, haha! Plus I used my fisheye lens today too! why? Um, because I love that tiny little thing! It's been calling my name!!! I love standing like 6 inches from something and seeing so much. I know, it's just a fancy toy.

OH and I decided to sum up today it would be best to take another picture of my dialy task of finishing up my paperwork for Taxes. I should be done today I'm on December...whew! It was a long week, haha! But as you can see, well sorta...my kicthen table is still a mess consumed with my piles of stuff and notebook. I'll be happy to be done!

Yep, its the new Year...time to get back on track and drop those holiday pounds!!! I feel better already and its only day 3!!! Thought I had better take a shot of my water bottles today because I keep reminding myself 'drink more water!!'

...And the heavens opened and the light shown down upon it!!!!

Yep. I'm a dork! For those of you who know me pretty well know I have been on a search for "THE" Chair. I get these crazy ideas in my mind and until I can do it, I can't rest! Well one day I got this vision for a green velvet chair, with claw feet in an open feild with a baby girl on it...I know I'm crazy - but its a photog thing ;) Yeah well I had that "vision" over 3 years ago!!! I just simply couldnt find "the" chair!! I have searched antique store after antique store but none were what I knew I wanted...until now :)

For Christmas this year, I got THE CHAIR!!!! I had to take a snapshot of it as my veryt first pic of the year. I wanted to take a pic of it in the snow, but the wind is SO fierce today its just not gonna happen:( BUT thats okay....Its still my chair and I love it and adore it and will use itover and over again.

So All, be prepared to see my chair featured in many-o-sessions....I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAPPY 2008!!!! 8 is my lucky number, my husband and I have been married 8 wonderful years, my oldest son will be turning 8 this year and now its 2008....Yep, this year is going to be FABULOUS!
